Will the nanny you hire accompany you on a family vacation?

Some families want a nanny to accompany them on vacations and take care of the child (or children) while the parents dine out or attend adult activities either with or without the child.

The nanny may be expected to accompany the family to these restaurants and party occasions, or the nanny may get time off on her own.

Let the nanny know with as much advance notice as possible – whether it’s in the job interview – or as soon as you realize you need her help on the trip.
